Habitat for Humanity and Take Solutions Masters join forces
TAKE Solutions Masters, the co-sanctioned Asian Tour and PGTI golf tournament, will be bringing world-class golf to Karnataka Golf Association, Bengaluru, 9th – 12th August, following the success of last year’s inaugural edition.
Habitat for Humanity’s presence at the TAKE Solutions Masters will create awareness among the golfing fraternity about the need for decent shelter and help it raise funds. On Tuesday 7th August they will host an exclusive Pro-Am tournament where their guests will team-up with the Professionals to play on the Championship course.
The event will attract a cross-section of celebrities like former Indian Cricketer Syed Kirmani, business leaders like Shashi Kiran Shetty (Chairman – AllCargo Logistics Ltd), R Ramakrishnan (CEO – Polycab Group) and Sanjay Sanghani (CEO, Unicorn Pickles) who are coming together to support the fundraising activities, and in particular the drive to transform the lives of farmers’ widows across India. Later the same day, the fundraising will continue with a live and silent auction of golf-related memorabilia and unique experiences, with the proceeds adding to the funds raised during the day.
Rajan Samuel, Managing Director, Habitat for Humanity India said, “Driven by the vision to build a world where everyone has a decent place to live, Habitat for Humanity India has served more than 16,00,000 individuals across India. As we celebrate 35th anniversary of Habitat for Humanity’s work in India, we feel proud to be associated with Asian Tour as the Sustainable Development Partner. We thank TAKE Solutions Masters for advocating the cause of affordable housing. This partnership will help the widows of India’s farmers to build the strength, stability and self-reliance they need to improve their lives.”
